Can anyone make an ASM hack that allows X to end conversations?

Pressing X during a textbox closes it (like Conker's High Rule Tail). I feel like it would be a good thing to have in some romhacks, especially where the monologue is untouched by romhackers.

X is free in HRT since the map is part of the menu. I mapped it on L Button in this patch:

I did not make it as single patch since the L-Button is also used for superbomb in my patch. If you want it alone, you'd need to trace what I did (some stuff on $10 and $11 if I remember correctly).

with the super bomb can it be changed to the Pegasus boots instead by changing the byte?
